NFPA 267:1998 Fire characteristics of mattresses and bedding assemblies exposed to flaming ignition source
NFPA 267: Fire Test for mattresses and bedding assemblies - Standard Brief:
NFPA 267: Fire characteristics of mattresses and bedding assemblies exposed to flaming ignition source test method, using an open calorimeter environment, shall be used to determine heat release, smoke density, weight loss, and generation of carbon monoxide of mattresses and bedding assemblies.
NFPA 267: Fire Test for mattresses and bedding assemblies - Test Method:
This procedure shall provide for exposure of full-size specimens to a standard flaming ignition source in an open calorimeter environment.
The standard ignition source shall be a gas burner.
Determinations shall be made and recorded for parameters that include density of smoke, concentrations of carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, weight loss, heat release rate, and total heat release.
