TB 604: Open Flame Resistance Test for Filled Bedclothing - Standard Brief：

 TB 604:2007 (DRAFT) Test Procedure and Apparatus for the Open Flame Resistance of Filled Bedclothing scope: The test procedures outlined in this document are intended for use in determining the resistance of filled bedclothing or top-of-the-bed products to flame propagation when subjected to a small open flame. These products include comforters, quilted duvet covers, bedspreads, bed pillows and bed-rest cushions, etc. The tests do not apply to non-filled bedding items such as blankets, sheets and pillowcases

 
TB 604: Open Flame Resistance Test for Filled Bedclothing - Conditioning：

 -  at least 24 hours at 23 ± 5 °C (73 ± 9 °F) and 50 ± 10% RH

 

TB 604: Open Flame Resistance Test for Filled Bedclothing – Test Clause and Sample:

 -   Flat Filling Materials Component Test- Open-flame Resistance:


              Sample Required:

Fabric: 2 pieces in the size of 394mmX394mm

Filling:  multiple layers of each specimen in 305 mm x 305 mm (12 in. x 12 in.) and with

the thickness of use. It should be stacked several layers of the filling material to

the thickness of approximately 102 mm (4 in.).

-  Pillow/Cushion and Loose Filling Materials Component Test-Open-Flame Resistance:

Sample Required:

Fabric: 2 pieces in the size of 330 mm X 330

Filling:   can fill in the pillowcase made by the above 2 pieces fabric with the density as close as possible to the actual pillow.

-  Mattress Pad Filling Materials Test - Open-flame Resistance

Sample Required:

2 pieces filling material in the size of 305 mm X 305 mm (12 in. X 12 in.) together with ticking fabrics to be used in the actual product.
