Juffali Chemical Products Company recently inaugurated its new Arabian Chemical Polyurethane Systems House branch in Jeddah.
Dr Souhail El Farouki, general manager of Juffali Chemical Group inaugurated the new branch, a statement from the company said.

Special guests included Sheikh Hatem Ali Juffali, chairman of the Juffali Chemical Group; Amin Al Afifi, CEO, Juffali Group; Markus Wildi, president, Dow Middle East; and Dr Zuhair Allawi, vice president, Dow Saudi Arabia Company.
The new Polyurethane (PU) Systems House plant will produce Dow polyurethane systems for various applications and contribute to Dow Formulated System’s global network of more than 30 system houses around the world.
“We have been partnering with Dow in a variety of businesses since 1976, and this important alliance allows us to further strengthen our relationship, increasing our ability to sustain the dynamic growth of our customers in this region,” said Dr El Farouki. “By investing in a new dedicated manufacturing plant in Jeddah, E A Juffali and Brothers ultimately strive to facilitate our loyal customers’ success in their respective markets, anticipating their needs and helping them fulfill their aspirations.”
Dow Formulated Systems, a global business unit of The Dow Chemical Company and Saudi Arabian industrial conglomerate, E A Juffali & Brothers, signed the alliance for the Arabian Chemical Polyurethane Systems House in 2010. The two companies have three long-standing joint ventures.
Following the ceremony, guests were given a tour of the new facility which featured an exhibition of end products utilising the formulated systems produced at the new Arabian Chemical Polyurethane Systems House plant.
The samples on display ranged from refrigerators, insulation boards, furnishing, heaters, coolers, decorative material to footwear and gave guests a preview of the typical end uses as well as the diversity of PU applications.
“This project marks an important milestone for Dow in Saudi Arabia and emphasises its commitment to this geographic area and market where the value of innovation and technology are recognised,” said Dr Allawi. “It will further enhance our ability to combine our innovation, technology, and know how in the PU systems business with the entrepreneurial spirit and local market knowledge of Juffali to deliver tailor made solutions to our customers throughout the region.”
