Polytec sells last of its auto interiors unit

Austria’s Polytec Holding GmbH has completed its exit from the interiors segment with the sale of a plant in Spain.

The company announced the sale of its automotive interiors plant in Zaragoza to Celulosa Fabril SA of Saragossa, Spain, for an undisclosed amount. The plant has 90 employees and in 2011 its sales were approximately 30 million euros.

Polytec sold the bulk of its interiors business to Toyota Boshoku Europe in June 2011.

Polytec has been pursuing a strategy of focusing on its business serving automotive exteriors and under-the-hood applications.
