April 5, 2013–Fomo Products, Inc. polyurethane experts Julie Shoemaker and Sandy Gump will present a "Polyurethane Foam: Sealant and Adhesive" seminar on Monday, April 22, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. as part of the Polyurethane Short Course taking place at the 2013 ASC Spring Convention & Expo, April 21-23 at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta, Georgia.
Shoemaker and Gump will focus on One Component Polyurethane Foam (OCF) Adhesives & Sealants and low pressure Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) sealants, highlighting key products as well as important testing standards and methods. Written for a variety of attendees, including chemists, application engineers, sales and marketing professionals, and technical personnel, the Fomo presentation will also discuss product stewardship, focusing on the reasons behind an industry shift that led to increased public awareness on product safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidance.
One of the safety areas highlighted in the presentation is GREENGUARD Certification, which is an important industry standard for protecting the health of end users. GREENGUARD Certification ensures products meet comprehensive standards for low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and help to identify products that contribute to the creation of healthier indoor environments. Shoemaker serves as product development supervisor for Fomo Products, managing new product formulations, evaluating all chemical processing systems, and providing support for Fomo's quality control and product management teams.

Her concentration is on the environmental, health and safety components of Fomo's low pressure SPF products and also focuses on regulatory standards, including material safety and product maintenance.
