Spray Foam Polymers, a leader in the spray foam industry and the manufacturer of ThermoSeal brand spray foam insulation and coatings, announced that its new Flameguard FG500 has passed every preliminary test which it was seeking to meet ICC/IRR appendix X approval.
Spray Foam Polymers’ objective was to create the highest quality, highest yield, most forgiving fire-safe foam in the industry. FG500 is simple to install, is aesthetically appealing, and has virtually no odor. FG500 has less smoke output, virtually no flame, and better performing physical properties when compared to the competition.
“With the rapid and ongoing changes in today’s building codes, it is important to offer a completely fire-safe foam without the need to coat the foam with an ignition barrier in attics and crawl spaces,” said Richard Ettinger, General Manager of Spray Foam Polymers. “We are extremely excited about the launch of FG500. Its performance, safety and physical properties are the best in the industry.”
ThermoSeal Flameguard FG500 will be a welcome addition to the industry by offering superior fire safety , higher R-Value, more profit, and less labor for the installers.
“ThermoSeal Flameguard FG500 will dramatically increase our customers profits but eliminating the need for an ignition barrier,” Ettinger said.
