The Woodbridge Group expects to expand its particle foam operations in Germany to provide additional capacity to the European auto industry.
The Formed Plastics division of Woodbridge, based in Mississauga, Ontario, did not provide any specifics for its expansion plans, but said in a Jan. 16 news release that it is looking at a new facility in Germany to provide expanded polypropylene to automaker and suppliers.
EPP is increasingly being used for auto interiors to decrease weight, the company said. Woodbridge currently is providing PP for a center console for BMW AG.
