From 25 – 27 February 2014, the sixth Polyurethanex exhibition will again be held at the Crocus Expo Center in Moscow, Russia. Wanhua-BorsodChem recently announced it will be exhibiting at the event in Pavilion 1, hall 4, stand A01.
The purpose of Polyurethanex is to boost the Russian polyurethane market, and to develop and introduce new PU technologies and materials to a wide range of industries, such as automotive, construction, furniture and bedding, shoe making, and others.
After a decade of rapid growth, Wanhua Chemical Group says it has become the largest and most cost-effective MDI producer in the world. Its two largest single-train isocyanate lines (600 kt/y each) in Ningbo, China, have enabled the company to gain its leading position in the PU industry. In the meantime, the company has been expanding not only its capacity but also its product portfolio with regular and large-scale investments in R&D.
Since the acquisition of BorsodChem at the beginning of 2011, Wanhua has continued to invest in its European production base to expand its capacity to meet the fast growing demand from Central Eastern Europe and surrounding regions. With the continuous optimisation of its production process to improve cost competitiveness, BorsodChem’s MDI capacity has been increased from 160 to 260 kt/y and TDI from 80 to 250 kt/y.
Being the sole isocyanate producer in Central Eastern Europe, Wanhua-BorsodChem will participate in the show for the third time to expand its business portfolio and enhance its position in Russia and the CIS region.
