According to the GBES definition, green buildings are those that can optimize resources conservation in the entire life cycle. By lowering resource consumption, users can contribute to protecting the environment while living in a healthy and comfortable environment.
In order to be qualified to be named green buildings under the GBES, buildings are assessed in six major aspects: land-saving, energy-saving, water-saving, material-saving, indoor environment and operation management.
The Sanxiang Hongqiao No. 9 Project will adopt a garden-style roof to enhance its ecological performance, and the waterproofing system will play a crucial role. BASF will provide high-performance roof waterproofing system solutions tailored to the need of the customers and local conditions.
The system offers a root resistant function, meeting the DIN4062 standard, which no longer requires a separate root-resistant layer. This not only saves time and costs, but also provides reliable waterproofing under different environmental conditions, making it an ideal choice for roof gardens.
