Israel-based wet wipe manufacturer Albaad Corp. has invested in a nonwovens line comprising machinery from Germany-based Trützschler Nonwovens & Man-Made Fibers GmbH and Voith Paper GmbH & Co. KG. The new line will produce a variety of spunlaced and wetlaid flushable products.
The line, which will be installed in Israel and will begin operating next year, includes Trützschler Nonwovens’ AquaJet spunlacing unit and Voith Paper’s HydroFormer™ for wetlaid production. It also includes Trützschler’s energy-efficient Streamliner drying system, and is the first wet-in-wet production line to utilize that machine, according to Albaad.
Albaad spent three years developing a proprietary flushable fabric technology that will be produced using Trützschler’s and Voith’s machinery.
