Speakers from IHS, Visteon, Benecke-Kaliko and Sika Automotive will discuss general market developments, with particular focus on modern and economically efficient production solutions for surfaces with foils.
Participants will also have the opportunity to meet a large number of partner companies displaying their developments that are making important contributions to our innovative solutions. The program on September 25, 2014 starts at 8:00 AM, with presentations beginning at 8:30 AM.
Following a brief introduction, forecasting specialist IHS will present a general market overview for developments in the European lightweight vehicles market. The next presentation moves from planning to a practical case study. Systems supplier Visteon will give insights into a current serial project in which the surface of an instrument panel is produced using the IMG (In-Mold-Graining) method.
In the second group of lectures, specialist company Benecke-Kaliko will present new opportunities for surfaces with foils and effective production solutions for processing them; the development of leather and artificial leather for premium surfaces are also a core topic in this section. Before the plant tour with live demonstrations begins in the afternoon, a talk will be given by Sika Tivoli that goes once more into the detail of materials development in the area of adhesives. The series of presentations at Lokwelt ends with a closing overview of technology trends and innovations as seen by FRIMO as a global technology partner.
