Arkema's Altuglas PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) is being targeted first. The REVERPLAST project aims to create in Europe an end--of--life PMMA recovery stream to obtain new acrylic resins. These will then be entered into the composition of thermoplastic composite materials, themselves recyclable, to serve markets such as wind power, boatbuilding and automotive.
This project is run in partnership with:
CANOE, an Aquitaine--based technology platform dedicated to advanced materials
PAPREC, a plastics recycling specialist
INDRA, leader in the recycling of end--of--life vehicles
PLASTINOV, a specialist in the processing of composite materials for the wind power market
Plastics /FRP Physical Test
In the construction or transport plastic / FRP not only need to meet national fire tests such as DIN 5510-2, BS 6853, GB 8624, etc., but also by physical tests to demonstrate compliance with relevant requirements. Plastic Physical Testing - American Standard: ASTM D648, ASTM D638, ASTM D256, ASTM D790, ASTM D570, ASTM D2583
