The technology center, which will be 4,500 square meters and spread over three floors, is expected to be finished by spring 2017 on R?chling’s Flosshafenstrasse site and will employ around 230, with a focus going to complete systems that will help the global auto industry improve fuel performance.
Mirco Brusco, general manager Engineering of R?chling Automotive said: “With the new technology center, we are creating ideal conditions to impress our customers with innovative solutions. We are developing integrated systems here, such as our innovative controlled shutter systems, underbody systems and solutions for thermoacoustic engine encapsulation, which make a significant contribution to achieving these goals.”
R?chling has seven plants in Germany, Belgium and the Czech Republic in addition to its site in Worms, Germany. The site in Worms will manage those plants and serve as an R&D location, aiding development of product innovations and serial projects, says R?chling.
