More than 200 industry experts from across the globe and a number of leading enterprises exhibited their state-of-the-art products, demonstrating the latest technologies, materials and devices for rail transit.
Changsha hosts platform for rail industry

The 2016 China (Changsha) International Rail Transit Expo and Metro Economic Forum was held at the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center from Nov 28 to 30.
More than 200 industry experts from across the globe and a number of leading enterprises exhibited their state-of-the-art products, demonstrating the latest technologies, materials and devices for rail transit.

The first of its kind to be permanently held in Changsha, the expo ran across three exhibition halls covering an area of over 40,000 square meters. Industry heavyweights including CRRC Corporation, China Metro Corporation and China Railway Signal and Communication Corporation, took part.
Hunan Maglev Corporation exhibited the Changsha medium-low speed maglev, displaying the working principles behind the train. CRRC Corporation exhibited its metro train and maglev models, as well as some interior components for motor train units.
Rail transit has become an important engine for development in Changsha. The city has become a hub for modern traffic, integrating subway, light rail, maglev and intercity rail.
"The expo and forum is an opportunity for Changsha to attract experts and businesses and provide a platform for exchanging ideas in the industry," said Yi Lianhong, leader of Changsha, during the event.
