Fakuma, Oct. 18-22 in
Arburg will announce the winner following the Fakuma show.
Also at Fakuma 2011, Arburg is teaming with BASF SE to demonstrate energy-efficient injection molding through the entire process, from resin through molding.
The companies will run production with two different plastics on an Allrounder 370 all-electric press, to show how the right choice of material, one with improved flow characteristics, can enhance energy efficiency. The Selogica machine control has an energy measurement function that shows that information.
BASF will highlight the flow characteristics of its Ultramid B3WG6 high speed grade of nylon.
The demonstration will happen at the east foyer at Fakuma.
