According to the data published by the experts from European Petrochemical Association and Petrobras in Downstream Asia 2011 today, at present the global petrochemical production capacity still keep a up trend, especially in East Asia and the Middle East. However, European petrochemical production capacity present a downward trend. The next five years, nearly 40% of the global newly-increased petrochemical capacity(takes oil refining for example) will concentrate in China, nearly 40% will concentrate in the Middle East, Africa and South America will take up a certain percentage, while Europe and North America will show a downward trend.
In this regard, Chief Editor Lampson Liu of China Commodity Data Group thinks that China has become the focus of global petrochemical. In face of the huge market, the expansion of production capacity is normal. But it is worth noting that the majority of domestic enterprises increase production capacity but don't increase production efficiency, while most European and American enterprises cut production capacity but don't cut production efficiency. As the expert familiar with Chinese independent enterprises, Lampson Liu attend the Conference and will make a speech.
