PolyOne adds Stan-Tone production in Shenzhen, China

PolyOne Corp. has added production of Stan-Tone brand paste colorants at its plant in Shenzhen, China.

In a Dec. 19 news release, officials with Avon Lake, Ohio-based PolyOne said the new capability has been added in response to global demand for colorant dispersions used in thermoset polymers for the building and construction market.

Applications for Stan-Tone include sealants, caulks, flooring and indoor and outdoor decking. “With this addition, the site is now able to produce a wide range of colorants in masterbatch, liquid and paste form,” color and additives Asia general manager Say Eng Lee said in the release.

PolyOne ranks as North America’s largest maker of compounds and concentrates, and also ranks as one of the region’s largest resin distributors.
