Cicoil’s standard "off the shelf" single conductor, multi-conductor and hybrid servo cables are available from stock and custom designs incorporating shielded wires or signal pairs.
Highly flexible silicone cables are for continuous motion and harsh weather. Ideal in wind turbines, these UV resistant cables are an alternative to PVC and thermoplastic rubber jacketed cables that do not provide reliability in severe environment conditions. Developer Cicoil’s exclusive crystal-clear silicone encapsulation is tear-resistant, needs no external “armor” or conduit for protection, and will not deform or wear during a lifetime of more than 10 million cycles, even under tight bending radius and constant flexing conditions. Unlike most other wind-turbine cables, Cicoil’s silicone extruded cables are unaffected when exposed to extreme temperatures (-65 to 260°C), ice, snow, salt water, acid rain, vibration, sunlight, ozone, humidity, mechanical abuse and most chemicals.
For applications that require abrasion and adhesion resistance, Cicoil offers anti-friction coating options by request. The company’s proprietary silicone extrusion allows placing multiple conductors in a flat cable, precisely controlling wire spacing, jacket thickness, and overall cable shape. The flat construction allows stacking multiple cables where space is a premium. This silicone is “self-healing” from small punctures and cable jacket damage is easily repaired in the field.
Cicoil’s patented Strip Mount fastening strip come with minimum lead times. The turbine cables are UL recognized, CE conforming, RoHS compliant, flame retardant (UL 94 V-0), and manufactured in an automated, climate controlled environment.
